Maserati is a manufacturer of luxury cars based in Modena, Italy. It was started in Bologna by the Maserati brothers, Alfieri, Bindo, Carlo, Ettore, and Ernest around the year 1914. The very first Maserati is the one which Alfieri drove in 1926 and won the Targa Florio. Today, Maserati is owned by Fiat group, the company which launched the marque into great renown. There are five current models of Maserati, the Quattroporte, a sporting-luxury sedan with four doors, the Quattroporte S, a variation of the Quattroporte, the GranTurismo, which is a 4.2 litre coupe that sits four people released in 2007, the GranTurismo S, a more powerful variant of the previous launched in 2008, and the GranCabrio, a convertible edition of the GranTurismo which was unveiled in 2009 in the Franfurt Motor Show.
