2009 Chevrolet Corvette C6-R

Corvette Racing will surely dominate the GTS and GT1 categories once again with the 2009 Chevrolet Corvette C6.R. This new model will take the place of the GT1 Corvettes which were retired on June 14, 2009 after Corvette Racing raced to victory in the 24 Hours of Le Mans. The 2009 Chevrolet Corvette C6.R is essentially a comprehensive redesign of the GT1 model.

The Geiger Corvette features a turbocharged 7.6 L engine that delivers an output power of 890 bhp at 6100 rpm, 694 lb-ft torque at 4500 rpm and the top speed of the car is about 220 mph. The Geiger Corvette features specially designed two disc carbon transmission and the gear shifts can be performed easily at higher speeds.
